Is Abiy creating power vacuum?

Is PM Abiy deliberately creating power vacuum,  by not enforcing the rule of law? Or is he being incompetent? He should resign if he can not protect the people from attacks. He should for example  make sure the universities are guarded. When will he learn?

The independence of Tigry

If Wayanes want the independence of Tigry, they can have it. But Wayanes must agree  to return the land they took from the Amharas. They occupied the Amhara land for agriculture  and in order to have international border with Sudan.

Is America going to twist Abiy's arm?

Egypt wants the involvement of  the US  in the Millennium Dam issue. But why? Is America going to twist Abiy's arm? Hopefully Abyi is not going to sell us out  under pressure. That will be treason.  No negotiation on  sovereignty.

Wyanes and Qerros do not represent the people

Wayanes do not represent the  Tigrian people. The Tigrian people have never voted for  them. Only Wayanes claim that they represent them in order to use them as a shield.
Blaming Wayanes is not  blaming the Tigrian people. Similarly, blaming the  Qerros for their crimes is not blaming the peaceful Oromo people..

Wayanes fear and hate the Amharas, disrespect the Oromos and others

Wayanes do not respect the Oromos. For them, the Oromo are just fools who they can manipulate and  use as their foot soldiers against their imagined enemy, the Amharas. But despite constant campaign, Wayans have failed to create animosity between the Oromos and the Amharas. That is maybe because the Oromos do not feel inferior to the Amharas like Weyens do.  This is just my observation. No offence is intended.

Berhanu Nega is right

Berhanu Nega says the extremists are trying to disrupt democratic process. I think he is right. The extremists know well  they will not win in elections, so the only choice they have is to create chaos to keep or gain power,  frightening the public. They are criminals.

ODP sympathizes with Qerros

Instead of bringing Qerros who attack innocent people to justice, it seems OPD, the Oromia government created by the TPLF, is arresting Ethiopians who defended themselves against terrorism.
This shows that ODP is populated with Qerro sympathizers and criminals who  cooperate .

The strength of Qerros (aka trained Wayane dogs) is not their numbers but that they are organized. Ethiopians should also organize themselves to defend themselves.

The Qerros terrorists have no right to attack or threaten anyone. If you are Amhara of any other tribe living in the fictional tribal zone called Oromia, the land you have been living on is your own.  Defend it. Oromia is for all.  the Oromo people also knows that. It is Wayanes fiction that it belongs to only one tribe. Wayanes created that fiction in order to divide and rule  peaceful, multi ethnic country.

Exploring the possibility of suing OMN in the US court

I think it is possible to stop Jawar by suing him and his media, OMN, in the US court for inciting ethnic violence, eps against the Amharas or  Neftegna. The victims of his incitements should also suing him and his media for compensations in the US courts. I believe the US courts are independent and there is a chance he might be stopped from spreading hate from the US.

Ethiopian flag with different colors

Both flags look great.

What is Oromummaa?

Oromummaa is an ideology that  says 'the Oromos first.' It is ideology of racism designed  to create  ethnic  division by encouraging ethnic nationalism of Oromos.

Qerros, the Oromo Wayanes

Qerros, aka the Oromo Wayanes, are making peaceful life impossible by blocking roads, seizing  lands and threatening citizens.  They are  are trying to impose their will on others by force. That makes them  terrorists.  Abyi must take steps to bring them to justice. He should also take  legal action against those individuals who encourage  ethnic violence from foreign lands. Abyi  is responsible for the safety of EVERY citizen, but if he can not guarantee safety for everyone,  he should resign.

If Irrecha is celebrated in Addis Ababa, everybody is happy

If Irrecha is celebrated in Addis Ababa, everybody will be happy. It is not Oromo culture only; it is Ethiopia's culture. But it is for political purpose the  OLF followers wanted it to be celebrated in Addis Ababa. They are politicizing peaceful festival for their own profits. But  if Irrecha it is celebrated outside  its traditional location, for political purpose, it is actually Irrecha? It will lose its real meaning.

When the current dam is completed, Ethiopia should start constructing more

Egypt has been threatening Ethiopia for constructing dam on the Nile river. From the way they talk, Egyptians think they are the only ones who are entitled to use Nile water. They feel superior so much so that they think they have the rights to  threatens Ethiopia  for trying to develop its own water sources. If they threaten Ethiopia for developing its own water sources, imagine what they would do if Egypt was the source of the Nile? Ethiopia would not get a drop of  water.

Ethiopia should not be deterred by threats and when the current dam is completed, it should start constructing even more dams because the Nile has still more potential to produce even more energy. At least two more dams can be constructed to produce even more electricity.

The OLF terrorists are trying to steal the identity of Ethiopian Orthodox Church

The OLF terrorists are  trying to create fake Orthodox Church, but their illegal act of stealing the true identity of  Ethiopian Orthodox Church,  to divide Ethiopian Christians, will fail just like  Wayanes' attempt to divide muslims, by introducing new kind of Islam.
The OLF terrorists are the true enemies of Ethiopians, just like Wayanes. They do not represent the Oromo people. They are only interested in power and money, and they will do anything for  that.

Blocking the internet is wrong

Abiy says the internet is  not  air or water; it is not important. He says that in order to able to block it as he wishes. But  he is wrong. The internet is immensely important. Only a leader of a developing country, with dictatorial tendencies, who has something to hide, thinks otherwise.
Blocking the whole internet, in order to control some people who misuse it or  the government does not like,  is wrong.  There is no  security reason that justifies it. Only transparency and free flow of ideas provides security.

Planting trees

Ethiopians are  planting trees. Even though  the government is mobilizing the people to plant trees  as a diversion, form current  political problems, it has immense value of raising awareness. Planting trees should not be one time unplanned event but  well -managed continuous process. To be able to do that Ethiopian needs to have an independent ministry that will be responsible  for implementing   reforestation program in modern scientific way.

Abiy is planting trees

Abiy is planting trees. Good job. But he also needs  to  take action to  bring criminals  to justice.

I wish Ermias was Ethiopia's prime minister

I wish Ermias Legese was Ethiopia's prime minister. He is brilliant. love him. One of  true sons of Ethiopia. His has been tirelessly fighting for Ethiopia. We need to support him and protect him. I learned a lot from him about Wayanes and how they operate.

Abiy can't have it both ways

Wayenes' Constitution is a scheme designed to weaken the unity of the Ethiopian people, by encouraging tribalism.  It gives a legal cover for criminals to incite ethnic violences. It must be dismantled.

Abiy says he wants Ethiopians to unit,  but as the same time, he defends the Constitution. That is hypocrisy.  The Wayanes' Constitution and Ethiopian unity do not go hand in hand. If he truly wants the unity of Ethiopians, he should start dismantling Wayanes' Constitution. He has to choose. He can't continue to have it both ways.

Ejjeetto is causing troubles

Another Wayane-trained dog, which calls itself Ejjeetto,  is causing troubles in part of the county known for its  peacefulness. It does not represent the Sidama people.  Its members are criminals who are creating divisions among Ethiopians for power. They should be brought to justice.

Abiy and Debretsion are allies

Abiy and Debretsion, the leaders of Oromo and Tigrian ethnic parties,  are working now together to oppress the Amharas  in order to preserve their  power. Ethiopians should fight their  effort to stop democratic process.  What the Amhara people want is not different than other Ethiopians. All they want is true democracy.  Oppressing the demands of the Amhara people is oppressing democratic rights of all Ethiopians

That is why all Ethiopians, regardless of their ethnicities, should stop Abiy and Derbrestion from committing crimes in the names of the Oromos and Tigrians against their Amharas brothers.

Ethiopians should organize protest marches

Ethiopians should organize protest marches to find out what is going on.  The democratic process is being hijacked. There is no real reform. The government is shutting down the internet at will, and we hear only its side of story of  recent events.  There is  no transparency. Abyi is becoming hypocritical.  He is a failure and not better than his predecessors. He lies.

Do not ask or don't tell

Any one who start talking about race and ethnicity should be treated as Wyanes agent. Talking about one's  own or others' ethnicities has no benefit, except to create division . So when someone start talking about it, let them know that they are not interested.

Follow do-not-ask -don't-tell policy. Leave the issue of tribalism to racists.

Abiy is keeping the people in the dark by denying them access to the internet

Abiy is keeping the people in the dark by denying them access to the internet.   Now people can not watch the new programs  presented by former ESAT journalists, for example. Maybe that is one of the reason he has blocked the internet.  Abiy is acting like his predecessors. Blocking the internet is a criminal act. Those who do that have something to hide. They are not doing it  for security reason as they claim. Only transparency and free flow of ideas provides security. You do not block the, entire, internet just because some people spread lies and incite violence.

Instead, you bring those people who spread lies and incite violence to justice.

I am slowly starting to mistrest Abiy. He is not a true reformist; he is superficial. He is only interested  in carrying out changes under Wayanes-established system.

The real reason for the so called coup attempt in Amhara region

From scant information in the media  I can conclude that is the real reason for the so called coup attempt in Amhara zone is that Asaminew Tsige wanted to raise Amhara army to protect the Amharas from constant Wayanes' attacks. He wanted a real change but the government officials stood in his way. And that led to the conflict.  And the government is not telling the whole truth.

The OLF does not represent the Oromo people

The OLF does not represent the Oromo people. The Oromo people have never voted for it to represent them.

The OLF was created by Wayanes and Shabia. It is therefore  no surprise if it also behaves like them and want to annex land, that does not belong to it.
OLF map includes Wollo as part of Oromia Region

Wayanes and Shabia created the OLF to serve them as their footsoldier and to destabilize Ethiopia. But once the Wayanes got power, they chased their dog OLF away because its service was no longer needed. That explains the animosity between the two.

ESAT and Ethio 360

Recently ESAT journalists were fired because of power struggle. Even Though I do not approve it,  it is actually a blessing in disguise that they were fired because it forced them  to establish their own new media company.   Now people will have more choices  to enjoy, like the new  Eletawi program called  Zare Min Ale

By the way I find the image and audio qualities of the new  Ethio 360 programs  from its temporary studio much better than the programs that being transmitted from old ESAT studios. It shows that you do need expensive equipments or to have much money to present a good program. Just a room with chairs and table, simple camera and  social media account is all you need. I hope they will keep it simple and will not mess it up with the quality of audio and image when they move to more permanent studio.

ESAT Ethiopian Icon

When I first heard the crisis ESAT was having, I dismissed it as a hearsay. I did not give that much attention,  thinking ESAT was a stable organization and whatever problems it  had, it would solve it. I thought ESAT was an organization that believed in democracy and had no secrets, and  contributed money to it.

It was for me a big surprise when I heard ESAT journalists were fired.  The journalists  talk about democracy and accountability but they failed to discuss the  problem that was going on  in their own organization openly in public, instead  waited until they were fired. I am disappointed.  ESAT was like an icon.

Bandas are celebrating 'their independence day.'

Bandas are celebrating 'their independence day.' But from whom did they get their independence?

Eritrea was created from Ethiopian soil, by colonists, to dominate Ethiopia by denying it access to its own sea, and now its independence has led  to  separation of families, 'border' tensions, none ending military service, poverty and dictatorship.

So there is nothing much to celebrate about Eritrea's independence except the fact that it gives bandas the  superiority feeling knowing that they control  Ethiopia's access to the sea, just like the colonists did. But bandas should know they will continue to live in fear and true peace is impossible as long as Ethiopia is not in control of its own seacoast and ports.

The reason why Wayanes abandoned their 'support' march for a wanted criminal

Wayanes are   forced to abandon the march they were going to hold in 'support' of a wanted criminal.

Ermis on ESAT Eletawi  programm   explained, in detail, what the Wayanes' motives were for organising it. Because of that the march lost its propaganda purpose and forced Wayanes to abandon it.
Ermis clearly understands how Wayanes think and operate. They are in economic crisis, because they can not loot as before, and organizing marches is one of their diversion tactics from that.

The Western media lied

If it hard  for many people in the West to believe that my country Ethiopia is the original home of teff, or for that matter coffee, you should blame Western media, which you are part of, for their ignorance, for deliberately misleading them with incomplete story.

Tarnishing the image of the Socialist government, not telling the truth, was what the Western media were primarily interested in, during the cold war era.

BBC
In the early 1980s, images of starving children in drought-stricken landscapes were beamed into lounge rooms around the world as aid organisations made appeals to help the millions of Ethiopians impacted by famine. So powerful were the pictures that many people would still find it hard to believe the country is home to what is widely touted in the Western world as the next superfood.

Issays has no option other than closing the border

Without explanation Issays decided  to  closed the roads  that link Mereb Melash with its motherland.  As a dictator he  may have realised that allowing the people he oppresses to move freely across the artificial border to Ethiopia  is a mistake. Because if people are allowed to travel freely, they will leave in their droves, and he has no one to oppress.

He also  worries  giving people freedom of movement will encourage them to uprise. That is why he decided to close the border again.  As long as Issays is in power the two people will not unite.

Ethnic federalism of Wayanes is causing a lot of problems

'Sidama declares state of impatience' says  the title of an article. The  author is  threatening insurrection  unless Sidama becomes state. Ethnic federalism of Wayanes is causing a lot of problems.

If  every tribe is going to demand its own state at this rate, we are going to end up having 83 or so tiny states, each for every tribe, but only the tribal leaders, who are pushing the people to demand for statehood, are going to profit from such tiny states by seizing power, not the people. That is why ethnic federals of Wayanes must be dismantled.

Travelling in Ethiopia taught me how to slow down and let life happen

“Omelette? Scrambled? Sunny?” The waiter approaches my table, ready to take my breakfast order.
“Oh, scrambled, please.”
“One side or two?”
“Um, scrambled? Like an omelette, but ...?” I make a hopeful stirring motion with my hand.
“One side or two?”
“Ah. Two, please.”
This is not the only time I will encounter a communication gap during my business-mixed-with-pleasure trip through Ethiopia. One of the compelling things about travel is that it knocks one a little off-kilter, out of the comfort zone, sometimes right into the “why did I think this was a good idea” zone. Patience is required. But all’s well that ends well: My eggs arrive scrambled, more or less as expected.

Under Abiy, Ethiopia's media have more freedom but challenges remain

During a trip to Addis Ababa in January, it was impossible to miss the signs that Ethiopian media are enjoying unprecedented freedom. A flurry of new publications were on the streets. At a public forum that CPJ attended, journalists spoke about positive reforms, but also openly criticized their lack of access to the government. At a press conference, journalists from state media and the Oromia Media Network, an outlet previously banned and accused of terrorism, sat side by side.

Ethiopia signs deals for its longest bridge project

The price agreed for the construction  is not high, for such bridge. It is a good deal, but  my question is when will the Ethiopian engineers start building bridges, dams, railways, etc. by themselves, without foreigners involvements. What do the foreigners have we do not have? As long as Ethiopia relies on foreign experts, the country will not industrialised or fully develop.

The Sudanese people rejected aid money

Despite the economic hardship, they have been facing, the Sudanese people  rejected the aid money  the Gulf Arabs offered them by telling them 'please keep your money.'

The rejection will be a big shock for the Arabs because it tells them from now on Sudan will be independent from their influences and may not even be their ally.

The people of Mereb Melash or Medri Bahri should reject the new identity imposed on them

It is high time that the people of Mereb Melash or Medri Bahri reclaim their true identity and call themselves Ethiopians.

They should reject  their  Eritrean identity, instead of being proud it, because it  is an identity imposed on them by foreign colonists who made them slaves.

It is also  high time for Issay to change the name of the Ethiopian province he is ruling alone now to its former name Mereb Melash or  Midri Bahir and unite it with its motherland.

Tribalism is being reversed

Instead of  resettling  them  elsewhere, the Ethiopian government has started  returning the  Gedeo people back to their villages, from where they were displaced.

It is a great decision  because it will reduce the danger  the ethnic federalism has posed by  discouraging the Wayane dogs, like the OLF, from carrying out more ethnic cleansing in order to fulfil their dream of  establishing their own homogeneous tribal zones.

Of course the government needs to do more to ensure the safety of the returnees by bring the criminals who force them to leave to justice.

Follow here great discussion about this issue on ESAT:

Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed calls on Sudanese people to avoid division and work together towards one united Sudan.

“I truly believe it is a critical time to work together towards one united Sudan without any room for divisions among yourselves,” said PM Abiy today, in his message to the neighboring people of Sudan. “Extending the practice of inclusive dialogue with all other stakeholders will facilitate the path to a strengthened, united and democratic Sudan. Through continuous dialogue, differing ideas can be narrowed down towards one Sudan, one people, all working towards a common direction.

The Amhara nationalism

The Amhara nationalism  is getting stronger. I hate tribalism and racism, but as long as the TPLF exists, strengthening Amhara nationalism  is the only way the Amharas can protect themselves and their territory from expansionists and  racists. The answer for tribalism is tribalism. Once the TPLF, with its constitution, is dismantled Ethiopians can live peacefully again without racism.

Ethiopian tribes did not have their own exclusive land before

Ethiopian tribes did not have their own exclusive land before. So, no single tribe has the right to claim a territory in Ethiopia exclusively for its own now.

The reason we have tribal zones in Ethiopia now is because racist Wayanes wanted to rule by implementing the strategy of their foreign masters of divide and rule, but Ethiopia, as an independent country, should not accept that.

The Wayane-made tribal zones should be dismantled in the long run, and everyone should be made aware that these zones are only for administrations purposes now, like the former provinces, and are not exclusive domains of specific tribes.    Ethiopian tribes did not have their own exclusive land before. So, no single tribe has the right to claim a territory in Ethiopia exclusively for its own now.

Examples of what patriotic diaspora Ethiopians can do to help their country economically

Ethiopia economy is weak and now foreign reserve/ dollar in the bank is  very low.  Patriotic diaspora Ethiopians can  help their country, also save money for themselves  by buying Ethiopian made products.  How?
When you go on vacation in Ethiopia, for example, buy everything you need  for long time, from there in advance, and take it  back with you to your country of residence. It can be cloths, shoes,  socks, shirts etc.
Ethiopian tailors are great. You can send them also orders to make clothe for you, from the country you live.
If you order products directly from Ethiopia it is usually cheaper and the money you save can cover the import tax and sending costs.

If you send money to your family, include also the extra money for  the products you want to buy, so that you only pay one time to transfer the money.

You can also order  with your friends large quantity of coffee, spices, etc. directly from Ethiopia and share it. That way you also save money.

Some people were mislead and  thought that the TPLF and the EPLF were fighting for higher cause, but the true purpose  these criminal organizations  wagged long wars was because their leaders wanted to gain power in order to loot.

The destructions these criminals caused during the wars, and the damages after they came to power with their lootings, corruptions and racist policies  is immense, and  the exact magnitude still needs to be calculated.

But the biggest damage of all is they hindered the  progress of the country. That why these criminals are also responsible for the backwardness, poverty and displacement of  the people.

The unelected  Oromo extremists  made the Latin Alphabet the official writing script for  Oromo Language, despite the  fact that writing Oromo Language using Geez Alphabet is  more easier.

Addis Ababa and Oromia belong to all Ethiopians

Unelected Oromo extremists are claiming Addis Ababa exclusively  to the Oromos alone.  Until the Wayane-imposed ethnic federalism is dismantled, they will continue to do that.

But let alone Addis Ababa, even the  tribal zone called Oromia does not belongs to Oromos alone, but to all Ethiopians.

There is no territory that  a single tribe owns exclusively. Those who argue otherwise are those who want to come to power by creating division and inciting violence. They must face justice.

Some Ethiopians are under wayanes-planted identity crisis

Some Ethiopians are under wayanes-planted identity crisis and confusions. As a result they still spend a lot of time and energy arguing and debating about ethnic issues, instead of focusing their energy on economic development. Wayanes made them  behave like people who have been colonized.

Therefore destroying Wayane's ethnic federalism and forbidding 'political'  parties from organizing themselves based on race or  religion and barring the  from participating in elections   should be the government's priority.

Peoples' ethnicities and religions are part of  cultures; they  are not part of politics. Only racists, like Wyanes, make them  political issues, to manipulate people on their cultural or racial differences, knowing that people can not change their cultures and identities easily.

Cannabis is the king of all plants

Cannabis plant  has many uses.  For example  from its bark fibers cloth can be made, from its seeds edible oil can be produced, and from its flowers medicines and recreational drugs can be obtained. Its leaves can be fodder to domestic animals,  and its woody stems can be fuel.
The plant is going to be economically  even more important  than coffee or chat. It is the industry of the future Ethiopia should not miss. The government should understand this and encourage investors to grower it in large  scales. Those who oppose its cultivations are illiterate conservatives, who need education.

Addis Ababa of course will be the capital city of Shewa Federal State, and the city will also be the seat of the central government.

Dismantling Wayanes' Constitution and re-establishing the borders of the former provinces and turning them into federal states is the only way we can reverse  the damages and divisions the ethnic federalism has caused.

I urge everyone who wants to make Ethiopia more democratic and  end racism and division to work for the realization of this goal.
