Sudan is spreading lies by representing itself as a victim in the Arab media

Sudan has invaded Ethiopia opportunistically  and occupied  its territory and refused to leave,  but in the Arab media it represents itself as a victim.

Sudan's information minister accuses Ethiopia army of border attack involvement

Abiy accuses "some parties" of seeking to distort Sudan-Ethiopia relations

December 25, 2020 (KHARTOUM) - The Ethiopian army massed troops along the border with Sudan, while Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said some parties seek to create tensions between Sudan and Ethiopia.

Sudanese and Ethiopian troops clashed along the border with the Amhara region during the past weeks, following the eruption of fighting in the northern region of Tigray.

The Sudanese army deployed its troops to end the de-facto occupation of some border areas by the Ethiopian farmers and militiamen when Khartoum realised that the Amhara militiamen used its territory to attack the TPLF rebels in Tigray region.

Military sources in Gadaref told the Sudan Tribune that the calm prevailed on the border area during the last 48 hours, adding they noted a military build-up on the Ethiopian side and the redeployment of troops that returned from Tigray.

"Also, the Ethiopian aviation carried out military manoeuvres in the areas of Hadi, Oar Mago and

PM Abiy spoke directly to Sudan's people in Arabic

By speaking directly to the people of Sudan in their national language, he has  deny  the propaganda victory their military  leaders wanted to score by invading Ethiopian territory in order to strength their power in the government. That shows how smart politician he is.

Egypt supports Sudan's invasion of Ethiopia

That is not surprising because Egypt wants to destabilize Ethiopia by proxy war and Sudanese militia is serving that purpose. Sudan must stop serving Egypt as its foot soldier and stop its aggression. Sudan must know that Ethiopia will defend Ethiopian territories.

The current friendly relationship between PM Abiy and president Isayas will not last

The current friendly relationship between  Ethiopia's PM Abiy and and Eritrea's President Isayas will not last  because it is base on the principle of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.' The mutual enemy  being the TPLF. But the TPLF has been removed form power,  but the border dispute  and the Asab issue is still  unresolved. Asab port belongs legally to Ethiopia, but it is still under occupation.  And as long as the Port is not returned to its legal owner, there will always be tension. By the way Ethiopia government  must legislate a law that declares that it  has the right to use force against any neighboring country which tries to block it free access to  the coast.

Egypt condemns Ethiopian border attack against Sudanese armed forces

Egypt should solve its border dispute with Sudan instead of crying its crocodile tears.

Expert: No Evidence UAE Drones Are Being Used in Ethiopia’s Tigray Conflict

Forces in Ethiopia’s Tigray region have accused the federal government of partnering with the United Arab Emirates to use weaponized drones stationed in Eritrea. TPLF is the main reason why Ethiopia is poor

The victory over the TPLF does  not only sends a  strong signal to foreigners who threatens Ethiopia, but it is also the beginning of the end of poverty.

The TPLF has been hindering Ethiopia's progress because of its  corruption, mismanagement and the destructive wars it has caused. It has made it dependent on UN aid. The removal of this criminal and beggar organization gives Ethiopia an opportunity to focus its full energy and resources  on developments.

No need to fight in Mekelle

Wayanes have lost territories fast and fled to Mekelle. Now the city is their last stand. To minimize the damage the government should just liberate the City partially and  create safe haven where the residents can escape to and get help, while it  keeps the rest of the City under siege.  When Wayanes run out of food, they will start to surrender. That is a better strategy than a total war.

TPLF sends a plea message to Asmara

The TPLF has fired rockets to Asmara  in an attempt to provoke Isayas to involve in the struggle going on to bring them to justice and widen the conflict. The rockets are actually the last desperate plea message to their master Isays to save them. But it is too late. The TPLF mafia will be brought to justice and Ethiopia will  have opportunity to focus on its development, after so many years of untold suffering they have caused.

Criticize the government without being cynical

It is a role of the opposition media to point out government's weakness, but the opposition media should not be cynical and criticize everything  the government does, no matter what, just because they disagree with its policies.

PM Abiy is not God; he and his government  make mistakes, but  he is willing to correct them.  He is a democratic leader. So the opposition media should learn to praise  the government when it does something good , if finding the truth is what motivate them.

Abiy has restored faith in him

There will be no peace and development as long as part of Ethiopia is ruled and governed by criminal groups. The military campaign  PM Abiy has begun to  bring the criminals to justice and liberated the areas occupied by them will be the real beginning of prosperity, because people will have now peace to concentrate their effort fully on development. Thank you PM Abiy for your leadership  and the Ethiopian army for their great fights and effort to restore rule of law in the country.

Tigry will be liberated from Wayanes

Tigry will be liberated from Wayanes, and the Tigian people will be free for the first time in history.  We should support PM Abiy's effort to  bringing the Wayane criminals, that have caused a lot of destructions and kept Ethiopia in poverty, to justice. Once that is done the country will have a chance to concentrate on its development.

The liberation of Tigry  from mafia TPLF  will also encourages the people of  Mereb Melash to demand their rights and the democratization of the whole region.

Wayanes want to start war as a diversion

Wayanes  are under pressure from Tigrian people  who demand their democratic rights. That is why they are desperate and want to start war against the federal government as a diversion.  The federal government must do its best not to escalate, instead should increase sanctions on them. With patience the Tigrian people who Wayanes use as a schild will rise up and bring the criminals to justice. Only they who can do that.

Is Ethiopia again under military dictatorship

Organizing peaceful protest is one of the pillars of democratic government, but  PM Abiy's government in Ethiopia is using all types of excuses to deny people their democratic rights to peacefully protest and express their dissatisfaction. If PM Abiy government continues this path, people will start to  revolt. He should not wait till that tipping point and start allowing people their democratic rights for which they have fought. He should learn from other dictators before him that he can not oppress peoples  for long.   People will rise up and fight for their freedom and remove him from power.

Crazy Trump encourages Egypt to attack Ethiopian Dam

Irresponsible Trump encouraged Egypt to attack Ethiopian Millennium Dam. Threatening a peaceful country  for wanting to develop using its own natural resources is terrorism. Lucky the reason Egypt has not attack Ethiopian Dam is not because they were waiting for the green light from Trump. So it is not that much relevant what Trump says. Trump is just kowtowing to Egypt as a favour so that his friends get more oil contracts. That is what his motivations are, I believe.  Ethiopia has many enemies who want to prevent it from developing but the dam will be completed.

Most Americans  do not like crazy and greedy Trump. That why he lost the popular vote against Hillary  and now behind in polls against Joe. Let us hope  the American people will vote him out of office in the next election and make him one term president.

Investigative journalist Temesgen Desalegn has been released

Temesgen was arrested for exposing  corruption  of those people in power in   the government.  Temesgen is so effective at exposing corruption, many in the government see him as a threat, and he has been arrested and released many times. Ethiopia needs many journalists like him and if he can, I think he should start school of investigative journalism  to train them  how to become effective like him.  fighting corruption is important  because it  hinders progress, and it is the main reason Ethiopia is poor. Tribalism is a form of corruption by the way.

A police commissioner says disregarding court's decision for one or two cases is not a big deal

A police commissioner says  keeping politicians, like Lidetu Ayalew, in jail despite court decision to release them is not a big deal. For one or two  cases you can just disregard court's decision. The Commissioner's answer shows the kinds of corrupt people Abiys government is filled with. Can you build democracy while these kinds of people are in power? Ethiopia has very long way to go.

Abiy is becoming a dictator

The Ethiopian  Court ordered   Lidetu Ayalew, an opposition party leader,  to be released from jail, but Prime Minister Abiy  has ignored the  Court's order, and  using his police force,  has continued to keep Mr. Lidetu in prison. This shows that Abiy  is a dictator  and under his leadership Ethiopia can not became a true democratic country.  Democracy is rule of law and justice. If there is no rule of law there is no democracy. PM Abiy must stop abusing his power and release all political prisoners fast before people start to mistrust him.

El Sisi: Nile dam must benefit Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan equally

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday said the Nile’s water was a gift that his country would never surrender and any deal with Addis Ababa on its new dam must be of equal benefit to Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan.
Mr El Sisi mixed angry speech and stern warnings to Ethiopia with renewed commitment to negotiations on the dam during his televised comments on Tuesday.
"I want to reassure you because our case is a just one,” he told the Egyptian public.
“This civilisation was created because of water. God almighty is the one who brought this water to us.”
He urged the public to work hard to help Egypt grow stronger, and did not rule out military action to protect the country's share of Nile water.
“No one dares eat the lion’s food. Be lions. Being a lion is not just empty talk," Mr El Sisi said.

Democracy does not work without rule of law

Ethiopian government was foolishly tolerating  extremists thinking that they would  stop their behaviour once they started expressing their opinions freely. But criminals will not learn from their mistakes and start respecting laws. It is good now that the government has realised that and has begun taking steps to make sure that laws are respected.  Without rule of law, a country can not build a democracy system.

Wayanes are like a cornered cat

Wayanes are like a cornered cat. They have run out of options. The have played all their cards. That is why they are now recycling the same old tricks  that they are liberators of the oppressed ethnics, to come to power again. But people are not fools. You may fool them once, but you can not fool them twice. They only option Wayanes have now is to surrender their power to the Tigrian people, or the people will bring them to justice.

Ethiopia is a powerhouse in the making

A very interesting video. Ethiopia will be superpower.

Jawar is like one of the Wayanes

No Oromo voted for Jawar. He is a self-appointed defender of the Oromo people. He sells in the name of the Oromos to gain political power,  just like Wayanes  who sell in the name of the Tigrian people for political power.

He hates Ethiopia  not because the oromos were oppressed but for religious purpose. Oromos built Ethiopia. It is a fiction that the Oromos were oppressed. There were no ethnic discrimination in Ethiopia before Wyanes came to power.

Ethiopianism and ethnic federalism will always collide

Ethiopia is a country where many ethnic group live together without hate and discrimination.  Ethiopianism  is togetherness and brotherhood. When you are Ethiopian, your religion  and ethnicity is not used against you. You can  live wherever you want, marry whomever you like.

Ethnic federalism is totally contradictory  concept to Ethiopianism. It was introduced by  enemies of Ethiopian. That is why the two concepts collide. It is impossible to reconcile hate and love. As long as ethnic federalism is the law of the country, there will be no peace.

PM Abiy is showing a great leadership and he can stay in power

PM Abiy is showing a great leadership. He is willing to listen to good ideas and implements them. Ethiopia does not need to hold an election to replace his government for the time being. The purpose of democratic  election is to replace a leadership in power  with a party that has  better ideas. Democratic election is innovation of leadership, but if the party in power respects free media and also is  willing to  listen to the opposition parties and implement their good ideas as well, holding an election is not that much important. Let us not holding an election  just for  the sake of it and  waste resources.

The lies the BBC and other media spread

The lie the BBC and other media spread, almost on constant base, whenever they write about Ethiopian politics is that 'the Oromos, despite being Ethiopia's largest ethnic group, had long complained that they were marginalised from political and economic power.' If there is an oppressed ethnic group there is also an oppressor. By whom are the Oromos oppressed?  Do they have evidence for that? No. The media is just repeating  a lie /propaganda the colonists started to dramatize their fiction.

Terrorists in Western Ethiopia have been holding 20 students as hostages

About 20 female university students  have been taken hostage by terrorists in western Ethiopia and their fate is still unknown, and Ethiopian Prime Minister has said nothing about them. The parents of the students should publish the names and photos of the students so that their case get more attention and the government takes action.

Ethiopia will be a regional superpower

Ethiopia will be a regional superpower if it starts utilizing its natural resources, such as the Nile. Other countries in the region do not like that. It is not only about water. That is why they opposed the construction of the dam  from beginning.

Abiy is populist

Ethiopian prime minister Abiy is populist. He does anything to be praised. He is even willing to sell his country,  as long as he is praised. He takes money from Arabs and  he has been enabling them to colonize the country  step by step. Ethiopians should be aware of that and stop him.
