Boycott and unsubscribe

ESAT has been hijacked by anti democratic forces. Boycott it. Unscribe you name form its social media pages. Also  stop your contributions to it. Instead support Ethio 360 Media, the new, true independent media.

Ethiopians should organize protest marches

Ethiopians should organize protest marches to find out what is going on.  The democratic process is being hijacked. There is no real reform. The government is shutting down the internet at will, and we hear only its side of story of  recent events.  There is  no transparency. Abyi is becoming hypocritical.  He is a failure and not better than his predecessors. He lies.

Do not ask or don't tell

Any one who start talking about race and ethnicity should be treated as Wyanes agent. Talking about one's  own or others' ethnicities has no benefit, except to create division . So when someone start talking about it, let them know that they are not interested.

Follow do-not-ask -don't-tell policy. Leave the issue of tribalism to racists.

Abiy is keeping the people in the dark by denying them access to the internet

Abiy is keeping the people in the dark by denying them access to the internet.   Now people can not watch the new programs  presented by former ESAT journalists, for example. Maybe that is one of the reason he has blocked the internet.  Abiy is acting like his predecessors. Blocking the internet is a criminal act. Those who do that have something to hide. They are not doing it  for security reason as they claim. Only transparency and free flow of ideas provides security. You do not block the, entire, internet just because some people spread lies and incite violence.

Instead, you bring those people who spread lies and incite violence to justice.

I am slowly starting to mistrest Abiy. He is not a true reformist; he is superficial. He is only interested  in carrying out changes under Wayanes-established system.

The real reason for the so called coup attempt in Amhara region

From scant information in the media  I can conclude that is the real reason for the so called coup attempt in Amhara zone is that Asaminew Tsige wanted to raise Amhara army to protect the Amharas from constant Wayanes' attacks. He wanted a real change but the government officials stood in his way. And that led to the conflict.  And the government is not telling the whole truth.

The OLF does not represent the Oromo people

The OLF does not represent the Oromo people. The Oromo people have never voted for it to represent them.

The OLF was created by Wayanes and Shabia. It is therefore  no surprise if it also behaves like them and want to annex land, that does not belong to it.
OLF map includes Wollo as part of Oromia Region

Wayanes and Shabia created the OLF to serve them as their footsoldier and to destabilize Ethiopia. But once the Wayanes got power, they chased their dog OLF away because its service was no longer needed. That explains the animosity between the two.

ESAT and Ethio 360

Recently ESAT journalists were fired because of power struggle. Even Though I do not approve it,  it is actually a blessing in disguise that they were fired because it forced them  to establish their own new media company.   Now people will have more choices  to enjoy, like the new  Eletawi program called  Zare Min Ale

By the way I find the image and audio qualities of the new  Ethio 360 programs  from its temporary studio much better than the programs that being transmitted from old ESAT studios. It shows that you do need expensive equipments or to have much money to present a good program. Just a room with chairs and table, simple camera and  social media account is all you need. I hope they will keep it simple and will not mess it up with the quality of audio and image when they move to more permanent studio.

ESAT Ethiopian Icon

When I first heard the crisis ESAT was having, I dismissed it as a hearsay. I did not give that much attention,  thinking ESAT was a stable organization and whatever problems it  had, it would solve it. I thought ESAT was an organization that believed in democracy and had no secrets, and  contributed money to it.

It was for me a big surprise when I heard ESAT journalists were fired.  The journalists  talk about democracy and accountability but they failed to discuss the  problem that was going on  in their own organization openly in public, instead  waited until they were fired. I am disappointed.  ESAT was like an icon.
